Our Team in Kidlington
At Cygnet’s, our dedicated and experienced team is at the heart of everything we do. Many of our staff have been with us for many years, with nearly half of our team having over 10 years’ service. This experience and continuity help us provide children with a warm, familiar and nurturing environment where they feel safe, secure and ready to learn.
Our highly qualified team hold, or are working towards, Level 3 Early Years Educator status and beyond. All staff are DBS checked and hold up-to-date Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates, alongside regular safeguarding and professional development training.
Above all, our team is passionate about giving every child the best possible start, helping them to learn, grow and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
Abbie Taylor
Acting Nursery Manager
Abbie has been part of the Cygnet Nursery team since 2013, beginning her journey as a Level 2 practitioner and progressing to Level 3.
She has developed a wealth of experience and enjoys building strong, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Having recently stepped into the role of Acting Nursery Manager, Abbie is excited to lead the team and continue providing a welcoming, caring and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.
Alongside her management role, she is also the nursery's SENCO and Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Abbie takes a hands-on approach to management and is passionate about supporting children's learning and development while ensuring they feel happy, safe and confident everyday. She takes great pride in working closely with families and the nursery team to give every child the best possible start in life.

Emily has been part of the Cygnet Nursery team since 2015, joining initially as a Level 2 student before completing her Level 3 apprenticeship.
She is now Room Leader of our pre-school room, The Swannery, as well as Acting Deputy Manager.
With over 5 years experience in The Swannery, Emily enjoys supporting children's learning, development and confidence as they prepare for school.
She loves building strong relationships with children and their families and is proud to have grown her carer within Cygnets over the past 11 years.
Lucy joined the Cygnet Nursery team in 2019 and is now Acting Deputy Manager & Room Leader of our baby room, The Nest.
With experience across all age groups, Lucy has a strong understanding of children's development and the different stages of their early years journey.
Lucy is passionate about creating a calm, safe and stimulating environment where our youngest children feel safe, confident and supported to explore, learn and reach their individual milestones.
